5. Obi-Wan Kenobi
He’s defeated multi-armed robots, mastered the Jedi arts and survived Order 66. Obi-Wan Kenobi has seen it all. Alec Guinness made young cinemagoers dream of owning a lightsaber in 1977, but Ewan McGregor truly made the character his own.
After 17 years, Obi-Wan Kenobi has returned to our screens with his own Disney+ show.

4. Luke Skywalker
Once a humble moisture farmer on Tatooine, Luke Skywalker is arguably the most recognizable hero in cinematic history. Over the course of the original trilogy, Luke overcomes a serious amount of obstacles at a tender age. Finding out your father is the galaxy’s ultimate villain, losing a hand AND mastering the force? Just your average day in the life of Luke Skywalker.

3. Han Solo
The only pilot to make the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs, Millennium Falcon owner Han Solo was always going to rank highly on this list. Armed with his trusty DL-44 Blaster and accompanied by loyal companion Chewbacca, Harrison Ford’s slick smuggler is a Star Wars legend. He might be reluctant to enter battle but Solo saves the day, even with the slimmest of odds.

2. Darth Vader
From his iconic breathing alone, Darth Vader has sent chills up our spines for decades. Leaving the life of a Jedi Knight behind, Vader’s descent to the dark side created a brutal foe. Vader has wiped out entire Rebel squadrons with just his pilot skills while flooding whole cities with the force to claim his lightsaber in the Star Wars comic lore.
Oh, and of course, we’re all still recovering from that Rogue One hallway scene.

1. Kylo Ren
The Star Wars universe has some stiff competition when it comes to villains, but Kylo Ren is a cut above them all. More than just a Sith hellbent on galactic domination, Adam Driver’s emotionally complex portrayal of Kylo Ren is the highlight of the sequel trilogy. The son of Han and Leia, Kylo’s struggle with the force made for a captivating character arc.
It would have been excellent to see more of Driver’s redeemed Ren, but we still got one of the greatest scenes in Star Wars history.
