BioWare’s Mass Effect series isn’t ending as a Mass Effect 4 title is in the works. The game started out as a trilogy, playing out in a science fiction RPG. There happens to be three main titles within the franchise with all three being rather successful hits. However, we do have to make mention that the ending of the third title was rather controversial but we won’t spoil it for those who have yet to take on the trilogy.
The fourth title has been in development with BioWare and we know that the games protagonist will not be Commander Shepard but someone completely new within the same universe as the first trilogy. Other than that, nothing more is known at the moment about the upcoming title. With the lack of news coming out from the development team, BioWare’s studio director, Yanick Roy, decided to finally give just a little update through Twitter.
“I apologize for not having any new info on the next Mass Effect for you. It’s because our focus is on doing it right over doing it fast! :-)”
Looks like we may be waiting awhile before we hear anything on the title or a release date. Though at the very least, we know that the title is being worked on for quality reasons. With E3 coming up, perhaps BioWare will unveil Mass Effect 4 during the expo event.
