Fallout: London Looks Like The Best Fallout In Years

New gameplay for Fallout 4 mod “Fallout: London” has been revealed, and it looks pretty impressive.

Fallout: London is a “DLC-sized mod” for Bethesda’s Fallout 4. It takes place in London, obviously, and unleashes the player into a previously unexplored part of the post-apocalypse.

The first official gameplay trailer is out now, and it shows an in-depth look at the mod. And surprisingly, it features the voices of not one but two Doctors – Sylvester McCoy and Colin Baker – as “mysterious scientists”.

The team behind Fallout: London said “As a divergence from previous official titles in the series, Fallout: London is not set in America. Visiting a totally new setting allows for us to explore totally new cultures which have not homogenized with their American counterparts.”

“It also allows us to explore pre-war European history, and the effects the Resource Wars had on the class structured society of pre-war Britain.”

Fallout Heads To London

The trailer shows the opening of the mod, which is similar to previous Fallout game openings. You start by choosing your character traits before making your way out of the underground into the world above.

The final moments of the trailer are definitely the most exciting to me. Getting a glimpse of a post-apocalyptic London waiting to be explored is a seriously cool prospect, and I’m hoping the mod can live up to the hype.

And a lot of work has been put into the audio and visuals in the mod too. Real audio from the London underground has been used in the mod, and it creates a very immersive feel. The voice acting is top-notch, as are the environments.

The mod promises whole new enemies, items, places to explore and a brand new story. There’s no release date currently, but it seems like it’ll be worth the wait whenever it ends up coming out.
