This Realistic God Of War Axe Will Set You Back Just $2500

In case you missed it, The Game Awards 2018 bestowed the honour of Game Of The Year unto the one and only God Of War.

The PlayStation 4 exclusive smashed sales records when it launched earlier this year (until Marvel’s Spider-Man swung onto the scene, of course) and it wowed players the world over.

The revamped version of the classic Sony IP brought a lot of new fans to Kratos’ door, and the success of the game even boosted sales of the older titles in the franchise.

If you’ve completed God Of War and are looking for some merch to splash the cash on then you won’t find anything cooler (or more expensive) than this God Of War axe.

The axe is being sold on eBay for a whopping $2,499, but if you’re lucky enough to wield this axe then you’ll really have something special on your hands.

The replica axe is from the 2017 PlayStation Experience show floor, and it’s signed by the game’s director, the one and only Cory Barlog.

On the eBay listing, seller thenerdyvampire writes: “Now you can own the in-game axe wielded by Kratos! It’s made of foam and not metal, leather and wood but it’s still 100% awesome!

“Keep in mind that this is Kratos life-size and not regular human life-size so it measures to be about 3 ft. long.”

Now that’s a (foam) weapon fit for the gods!

If you’re interested in owning this one-of-a-kind piece of GOW history then you’d better have some savings to spare. Or maybe you’ve been good enough this year to end up on Santa’s nice list?

GOW fans were thrilled when GOTY was presented to Barlog and his team, but it left a bitter taste in the mouths of Red Dead Redemption 2 fans.

Despite picking up a slew of awards throughout the night, RDR2 missed out on the final hurdle.
