Rockstar Trolls Players Who Complained About The Red Dead Online Economy

Hot off the back of Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar Games launched the beta of Red Dead Online, the online multiplayer version of the game.

Unfortunately, Online received a lot of backlash from fans who dubbed the game a “cash-grab” from Rockstar.

Before the game’s most recent update, fans were sinking hundreds of hours into earning a little money. With the price of a tin of baked beans costing more than the value of a looted gold ring, players began to believe that Rockstar purposefully skewed the earn ratio to prompt people to fork out real-life money via microtransactions.

Thanks to the update though, the RDO economy is starting to look a lot more normal, but it seems that hasn’t stopped Rockstar poking fun at those who complained.

In a video that’s surfaced on Reddit, an NPC can be heard complaining about the cost of weapons in the game, perfectly mimicking the outcry of players of RDO.

It’s not the first time fans of Red Dead have accused Rockstar of trolling its millions of players.

At least they have a sense of humour!

For the week-or-so that the economy was skewed, some players were even considering outsourcing the grind and paying “Third World labourers” to take on the challenge.

Now that Red Dead Online is a lot more playable, people are really starting to make the most of the roaming and free play that the game encourages.

Are you pleased about the changes Rockstar has implemented?
