Exoprimal – Can We Just Have Dino Crisis?

Exoprimal is a far cry from the survival horror/action-adventure classic Dino Crisis. In an age where classic franchises are getting face lifts and new instalments, Exoprimal seems to stick out like a sore thumb.

Let’s make sense of Capcoms creative direction with everything we know about Exoprimal:

What The Hell Is It? – Exoprimal

Exoprimal is an online-only team-based, third-person action game. Players utilise various exosuits to fight overwhelming swarms of dinosaurs.

Is There A Plot? – Exoprimal

Humanity is being subjected to random dinosaur outbreaks in 2040, a crisis that could wipe out mankind. Luckily, the Aibius corporation has created a hyper-advanced AI called Leviathan that can predict the location of future outbreaks.

They’ve also created a plethora of exosuits, operated by exofighter pilots to help quell the dinosaur threat. It’s a very loose plot to explain why dinosaurs are falling out of black holes, but it’s the best we’ve got for now.

What’s The Gameplay Like? – Exoprimal

Originally thought to be PvE, Exoprimal has two teams fighting swarms of dinosaurs whilst also trying to take out the opposition. The confirmed modes so far are:

– Dinosaur Cull – Take out dinosaur swarms
– VTOL Defence – Holding a position
– Data Key Security
– Energy Taker
– Omega Charge – Use massive hammers

What Will It Release On? – Exoprimal

Exoprimal will release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC in 2023.
