The only thing better than getting a new game is getting a new game for free, and thanks to the Epic Store you won’t even need to wait until December 25th.
The Epic Store is giving away Unknown Worlds Entertainment’s amazing Subnautica. The open-world exploration and horror game is now free for you to download – and keep – and you’ll have until Christmas Day to add it to your library.
Download it for yourself here.
The game’s description reads: “You have crash-landed on an alien ocean world, and the only way to go is down. Descend into the depths of a vast underwater world filled with wonder and peril.
“Craft equipment, pilot submarines and out-smart wildlife to explore lush coral reefs, volcanoes, cave systems, and more – all while trying to survive.”
The title would usually set you back around £20, but for now it’s absolutely free.
Thanks, Epic Games!
Epic really isn’t playing when it comes to its new store, which is set to be a pretty serious competitor for Steam.
The Epic Games Store will be giving away one free game every two weeks throughout the whole of 2019, meaning you can get yourself two free games a month for the whole 12 months.

From 28th December – 10th January you’ll be able to get Super Meat Boy, which is a very exciting freebie to get you over those post-Christmas blues.
For devs, it gets even better, as Epic will take less of a cut of the revenue than Steam currently does, meaning it’s likely we’re going to see a huge leap in indie titles on the Epic Store.
Will you be leaving Valve for Epic?
