Ninja tried to make Everyone Floss at New Years at Time Square and No-one did

In this episode of ‘That is really cringey it makes me want to curl up into a ball and forget it exists’ is Ninja, from Times Square trying to make a crowd of damp New Years Eve celebrators do the floss dance. I hope you are ready because it is about to get intense.

If you didn’t know Ninja was livestreaming from a booth in Times square on New Years eve with thousands of people outside waiting for the ball to drop. Ninja also had a few thousand people watching him ‘entertaining’ the crowd and also playing Fortnite (what else?).

At 2 hours and 45 minutes to go Ninja started ‘flossing’ with his wife and manager. He then went onto the balcony of his booth and tried to make the crowd floss… I’ll let you watch it.

To be fair to Ninja there wasn’t enough room for everyone to do the dance however there were a few people giving it a go but not quite getting it right.

This comes not long after Ninja lost his top spot as the most subscribed to streamer.

According to Twitch Stats, Ninja takes third position with nearly 40,000 subscriber. At the time of writing, he has 39,769.

Unfortunately, that’s not quite enough to beat the one and only Shroud, who’s currently boasting 41,673 subs and takes the second spot.

So who’s the top dog of Twitch right now? It’s Timthetatman of course, who’s just slightly ahead of Shroud with a mammoth 42,025 subscribers.

Sorry, Ninja!

Ninja’s probably not going to suffer too much from losing out on the stats table. He’s one of the highest-paid gamers in the world after moving from esports to streaming.

He’s most well-known for his Fortnite streams, which have elevated him to multi-millionaire status thanks to his popularity in the gaming scene.

Posting his achievement on Twitter, Ninja confirmed that he’s spent nearly 4000 hours chasing that oh-so-sweet Victory Royale, and that’s a LOT of time.
