The Grand Inquisitor has been a popular topic since Obi-Wan Kenobi aired on Disney Plus three weeks ago, but now fans have a satisfying answer to the fate of the Grand Inquisitor.

Grand Inquisitor – Third Sister?
As many have predicted, the Third Sister is a surviving youngling from the Jedi Temple during the night of Order 66. Only being able to stand by and watch her youngling and Jedi family be slaughtered inf front of her, the Third Sister played dead as she “felt their bodies go cold”.
In a surprise revelation in Kenobi, the Third Sister is working her way up the Inquisitorus ranks in order to secure her moment with Darth Vader. She wants revenge for order 66 and the genocide of her people. More specifically, she wants to make Anakin Skywalker pay for his transgressions.

In episode 5 of Kenobi, her tracking beacon hidden inside Leia’s droid ‘Lola’ (L0-LA59) revealed the base of operations for the underground railroad rescue effort. The Third Sister is immediately promoted to the rank of Grand Inquisitor.
Kenobi is the one thing in the galaxy that focuses Darth Vaders complete attention, the dark side does cloud one’s judgement after all. The Third Sisters’ plan is to distract Vader with Kenobi by personally delivering the Jedi Master to the Sith lord.
The thing is, Vader is a master of deception and malice. The Third Sister was being played herself by Vader and the Grand Inquisitor.
The Grand Inquisitor is indeed alive, saving Star Wars canon and keeping the events of Star Wars Rebels intact. He did receive life-threatening injuries but has somehow survived and returns to confront the Third Sister to reveal how she had been used in a greater scheme.
