Another year another few hours glued to the PC staring into the heart of the one and only Geoff Keighley.

- 01:36am GMT: Kicking off a little late this year (boy, Geoff’s keeping us in suspense), TGA 2018 is officially underway. We know we can expect at least 10 game announcements, and we’re pretty certain these will include the likes of a Crash Team Racing rerelease, and if actor Norman Reedus’ tweets are anything to go by, maybe even a release date for the highly anticipated Death Stranding. Oh and some awards and stuff (Red Dead Redemption 2, anyone?). This is the fifth Game Awards, and it’s going to be a good’un.
- 01:42am GMT: The first world premiere of the night is for the Nintendo Switch, a colourful fast-paced and very K-Pop inspired title, Sayonara: Wild Hearts from Simogo, due in 2019.
- 01:47AM GMT: Supported by Epic Games and released by new developers Typhoon Studios, we have the announcement of new game, Journey To The Savage Planet. Definitely an intriguing trailer and sporting a really user-friendly art style, this is a space adventure game we want to see more of. Gameplay trailer expected in 2019.
- 02:05am GMT: TGA 2018 officially kicks off with an orchestral performance from the one and only Hans Zimmer.
- JackSepticEye and Pokimane take to the stage to present BEST NARRATIVE WINNER: RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2.
- 02:09am GMT: PREMIERE: MARVEL’S ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3 (Nintendo Switch exclusive, 2019).
