Blizzard has put out a Statement about Diablo 4 Rumours

Last week Diablo fans were thrown into a tizzy when the schedule for the upcoming Blizzcon 2018 event showed that there was an allocated time slot for an exciting Diablo update.

Gamers have been eagerly awaiting any news on a potential Diablo 4 for basically forever now, and people were pretty hyped at the thought of being just a few weeks away from a concrete announcement.

However, it seems the theory of Diablo 4 at BlizzCon this year has been debunked by none other than Blizzard itself.

On the official Diablo website, Blizzard posted the following statement:

“BlizzCon 2018 is almost here and we’ve seen a lot of rumors flying around about our plans for Diablo at the show. These are very exciting times—we currently have multiple teams working on different Diablo projects and we can’t wait to tell you all about them . . . when the time is right.

“We know what many of you are hoping for and we can only say that ‘good things come to those who wait,’ but evil things often take longer. We appreciate your patience as our teams work tirelessly to create nightmarish experiences worthy of the Lord of Terror.”

Sounds like a pretty solid no to us. Sorry Diablo 4 fans!

Blizzard did confirm, however, that there should still be some exciting “Diablo-related news,” – hopefully that refers to a new game, and not the upcoming Netflix show!

Commenting on the site, one user wrote: “I’m glad they’re giving us a heads up that we don’t have to pay attention to any Diablo related news this year at BlizzCon.”

Another added: “I tell you what…hype for absolutely nothing…again…as usual. That pretty much wraps up Blizzcon for me, no point spending money on it. Does it even have in game goodies for Diablo?”

Sounds like a lot of p*ssed off Diablo fans!

Are you disappointed by the news, and are you planning to tune into BlizzCon this year?
