We’re in the final month of the year and still there are some really cool games yet to get released before the year comes to an end. We’ve compiled a handy list below so that you can track them all and make good purchasing choices:
December 1:
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Platforms – Android and iOS
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney was the fourth title of the visual novel series, Ace Attorney. The game, developed and published by Capcom was launched back during 2007-2008 for Nintendo DS and will now be releasing for Android and iOS platforms. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney is also the first game of the series which doesn’t feature Phoenix Wright in the lead role.
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney is set to release for iOS on December 1 and for Android on December 8.
December 2:
Steep, Platfroms – PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One:
Steep is an open-world extreme sports game which is set on the Alps and will include skiing, snowboarding, wingsuit flying and paragliding. The online multiplayer focused game has been developed by Ubisoft Annecy and published by Ubisoft.
Super Mario Maker, Platform – Nintendo 3DS:
Side scroller platform video game Super Mario Maker was first launched for Wii U in September last year. A portable version of the largely successful game is now being created for Nintendo 3DS, where the players will be able to create and play the Mario levels as per their wish. The game has been developed and published by Nintendo.
December 6:
Dead Rising 4, Platforms – Windows PC and Xbox One:
Dead Rising 4 is the fourth installment of the survival horror series where you need to kill zombies all the way. The fans have some good news this time around as the open world game will not have a timer system. This will happen for the first time in the series as all the previous entries had a 72 hours time system. The game has been developed by Capcom Vancouver and is being published by Microsoft Studios.
And a game we’ve been waiting for years is finally releasing in December 2016 as well:
The Last Guardian, Platform – PlayStation 4:
The Last Guardian is one of the anticipated titles of 2016 and is finally going to release next week. The game was is development for eight years and even went into the development hell after numerous delays. The action-adventure game, was able to spring back to life and was reintroduced in Electronic and Entertainment Expo 2015. The game has been developed by genDESIGN and SIE Japan Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
December 12:
Bastion, Platform – Xbox One:
Bastion is a fantasy action role playing game which has been developed by indie developer Supergiant Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game was first released back in 2011 for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Xbox 360, iOS, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. The game will now make it entry to Xbox One after five long years. However, the Xbox 360 customers, who had a copy of the game will get a copy of the Xbox One version for free if they redeem it before January 1, 2017.
December 15:
Super Mario Run, Platform – iOS:
Mario will now make his way in to the iOS devices with the upcoming Super Mario Run.The side scroller platform game has been specially designed to give a premium experience to the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users. The game will have two versions – Free and Premium, and the premium version is priced at a premium price of $9.99. Super Mario Run has been developed and published by Nintendo.
December 30:
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, Platform – Android, iOS, macOS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One:
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier is the third installment of the episodic adventure game series which is based on The Walking Dead comic book series by Robert Kirkman. The game, developed and published by Telltale Games will serve as a sequel to the first two games and is set on the same zombie apocalyptic fictional world.
One of the notable change that the game would see is the inclusion of another playable character named Javier. The earlier installments had only one playable character, Clementine, who has now grown up to be a teenager.
