The familiar Wolverine character may be returning in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, albeit in an unfamiliar form.
With all the hype for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, you’d be forgiven for believing basically any rumour thrown your way. However, there’s now a rumour that we’ll be seeing Wolverine in the movie, albeit not the Wolverine you’d probably be expecting to see.
According to Joseph Deckelmeier, we’ll be seeing Wolverine in the movie – but not Hugh Jackman. To quote the tweet “We will see Wolverine in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness but it definitely won’t be Hugh Jackman.”
While Deckelmeier hasn’t backed up his claims at all, and he’s certainly not a scooper I usually go to for these matters, he does have credibility from his work at The Illuminerdi.
There are a myriad of options that we could look to as per casting choices for Wolverine, but Deckelmeier doesn’t go into that in his tweet. Hopefully in the next few months before release we hear some more news on this. However, I wouldn’t get your hopes up if the No Way Home leaks were anything to go by.
It’s worth noting that this could be all fake. When the hype cycle started for Spider-Man: No Way Home, there were a lot of fake rumours circulated along with the real ones that turned out to not be true. But it’s plausible, given that Patrick Stewart’s Professor Charles Xavier returns in the most recent trailer, despite his denial. There is also talk of a Deadpool return, an Iron Man variant, and a variant of Captain Marvel in the film, so anything is possible.
