We’re getting our first glimpse at Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 4 this Thursday at Summer Game Fest.
The event will kick off at 6PM GMT and is set to reveal a bunch of new games ahead of the E3 weekend.
Warzone Season 3 will run out on 15th June, meaning there’s not long left to level up the last of that Battle Pass. Luckily, there’s a double XP weekend on the way for those who need a little assistance in catching up.
Season 3 has been one of the more eventful seasons of Call of Duty in a while. It saw the introduction of Verdansk ‘84 not long after it began with the unique nuke event.
We also saw the introduction of ‘80s action heroes, the biggest cross-over event in Call of Duty history. If you’d have told me a year ago that I’d be running around Verdansk as John McClane or Rambo, I wouldn’t have believed you. Even Nakatomi Plaza made an appearance, materialising in Downtown and complete with the ‘Ode to Joy’ loot vault.
Do we know what’s coming on Warzone Season 4?
Other than that it will likely begin on 16th June, we know very little about what Warzone Season 4 will bring.
As usual, we’ll likely see the addition of new weapons and new maps to Cold War. I’ve written a list of the classic maps I’d love to see remastered, but we’ll have to wait and see if Activision can grant my wishes.
Other than that, it’d be great to see Call of Duty get more experimental with its cross-overs. Fortnite thrives on its ability to change up each season with weird and wonderful appearances from other franchises.
