Twitch Streamer DrLupo Raised Over $1m For Children’s Hospital In 2018

When you think of Twitch streamers their charity work isn’t the first thing that comes to mind, but Fortnite streamer DrLupo is doing his best to change that.

The 31-year-old has successfully raised over $1 million for children’s charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, throughout the whole of 2018.

He ended his massively successful year with a 24-hour-long Fortnite stream, which raised more than $611,000 alone.

Well done Lupo and fans!

“DrLupo, his fan base and the entire gaming community have truly embraced the St. Jude mission in a huge way,” said Richard Shadyac Jr, President and CEO of American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities, the organisation created to encourage fundraising for the hospital [via PC Gamer].

“To raise $1 million for the kids of St. Jude in just one year is an incredible milestone and makes him a leader among his gaming peers. By helping pioneer this innovative way of fundraising, he and his community are leading the charge for the future of fundraising by helping St. Jude continue to fight childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.”
