Red Dead Players Notice Incredible Detail About John Marston’s Horse

I could harp on about the limitless detail in Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 until the end of time, but every new discovery found by fans of the game really is mind-blowing.

Before the game released last month we knew that Rockstar weren’t cutting corners when it came to detail, and things like the horses’ testicles shrinking in cold weather got fans really hyped for the release (not because testicles, because detail, obviously).

Even though the game has been out for a couple of weeks now, it’s such a massive world to explore that new and exciting things are always being discovered, which is a huge draw for RDR2.

Reddit sleuths have been hard at work cracking down on mysteries and unearthing new features, but one thing in particular has gotten tongues wagging, and it’s to do with John Marston’s horse.

John Marston’s horse from RDR2 is the “same” War Horse from RDR1. from r/reddeadredemption

It appears that Marston’s horse is the exact same one as a pretty notable steed from the first Red Dead game – War Horse.

The discovery, posted by Reddit user Fuj_san9247, can be seen below.

The references to horses in RDR doesn’t end there though, with another Redditer commenting on the post saying: “Micah’s horse also has the same pattern as the dark horse, or whatever it’s called, from the first game. The one you get for having maximum evil morality.”

Like I said, there’s no end to the cool features that can be found in the game, and one that’s particularly fantastic is the ghost train.

This is one of the coolest Easter Eggs I’ve ever seen in a game. from r/reddeadredemption

Yes, that is a full-on ghost train.

If you want to trigger it yourself, head to the train tracks going out of Rhodes (towards the edge of the Lemoyne border just below Old Greenbank Mill) and make sure it’s 3am.

One gamer commented: “Like to create my own storylines for this. Like a man that robbed and killed an entire train of people (Arthur). But no one ever caught him and a little boy was the only survivor who lived to tell the story. And now there’s a ghost train that rides the tracks but never makes it to its destination ..”

Another added: “Maan o man. My jaw keeps dropping on this game. Again and again and again.”

Have you encountered anything cool in RDR2?
