A couple days ago, creator of the Metal Gear Solid series Hideo Kojima revealed the differences of the Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes game graphics when comparing the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 consoles.
Even though both next gen consoles run at 60 FPS, the PS4 game resolution operates at 1080p, while the Xbox One crawls behind at 720p. The PS3 and Xbox 360 will both equally be running at 30 FPS, and 720p.
It was definitely interesting to hear Kojima announce such game differences between each console, which did stir up quite a controversy, causing him respond on twitter stating:
“Being asked so often about differences in “frame rate” and “resolution” depending on the hardware model make little sense to me, but I listened, so I plan to publish it tomorrow (laughs).”
He then gives his followers his point of view on the next-gen consoles:
“Well, once you play with the next gen version, it’s smooth like butter, and you won’t be able to go back to the current gen version though. (laughs)”
He goes on, explaining the benefits of his FOX Engine creation:
“The reason why we created FOX Engine was to be able to bring open world games efficiently even on current generation consoles.”
They have announced that they will soon release a trailer that will show the differences between the current and next generation consoles.
“Because there were many questions, we published comparison pictures between the current generation and next generation versions of Ground Zeroes. First of all check it out with stills. We will publish the video later. It’s difficult because we cannot predict how people will react, but that’s how it goes.”
