Overwatch has been a massive success for Blizzard Entertainment with more than 10 million (increasing at a rapid rate) registered players within a month. The game also earned noteworthy digital revenues across all the platforms in the process.

According to the report of SuperData analysts, the digital revenue of the game has already crossed over $269 million. The game has also lifted up the PC market revenue by 8 percent, which is quite remarkable. Overwatch has also been able to find a place among the top five most streamed games across various streaming platforms. It currently sits in 5th place.

The report also revealed the digital revenue of two other games – Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Battleborn. Uncharted 4 earned $56 million on PlayStation 4 while Battleborn racked up $18 million across all platforms.
The sale of digital games has increased by 11 percent year-on-year with a total sales of $6 billion in May. However, there is a dip on the subscription based gaming as it went below $200 million per month.

We hope to see more changes in the digital gaming scene this year with Overwatch‘s Competitive Play, which will have more maps and Heroes on the way.
