That’s right- there’s a new TV series coming about the world of John Wick. However, the series won’t be centered around John Wick himself.
The new TV series, titled “The Continental,” will be about the chain of hotels of the same name. We were introduced to the New York Continental hotel in the first John Wick, but it was unclear if there were more of them until international Continentals were shown in John Wick 2.
The Continental hotels, which are basically havens for assassins, are an excellent topic for a TV series. So many interesting things must go down in places like this on a nearly daily basis just because of the lethality of the Continental’s clientele.
The series is going to be written by Derek Kolstad, who wrote both John Wick scripts, and will be directed by Chad Stahelski, who directed both of the John Wick movies. At the moment, it’s very possible that Keanu Reaves himself will make cameos as John Wick in the TV series, but it’s unconfirmed at the moment. Regardless of whether or not the series has a lot of John Wick, the series should be great based on the merit of the writer and director.
