Insider Claims Spider-Man Isn’t Done With Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin

Spider-Man fans were treated to another excellent performance by Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin in No Way Home. However, that might not be the last time we’ll see him.

No Way Home brought loads of classic Spider-Man villains together in one epic showdown. One of those was Green Goblin, originally introduced on the big screen back in 2002’s Spider-Man by Sam Raimi.

His return in No Way Home was celebrated by fans, and it may be possible that he returns once again. An insider with a decent track record on Marvel films has said, “Sony wants more of Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin”.

Obviously, take this with a grain of salt. Nothing has been confirmed, but with a character as popular as Green Goblin it would be a shame to never see him again.

Multiverse Possibilities

What form his return could take is unknown. If you’ve seen No Way Home, you’ll know that he returns to his own universe after being “cured”. With the multiverse shenanigans we’ve been introduced to, anything is possible really.

Arguably, Green Goblin’s character was wrapped up pretty well at the end of the film. Some may feel another appearance by him as a villain would be a bit forced if it’s not executed well.

In other news, huge Spider-Man villains were apparently cut from No Way Home. An interview with the writers revealed some big characters had to be removed as they were almost too big to fit.
