Pokémon Lets Go Pikachu and Pokémon Lets Go Eevee has taken the Switch by storm, selling the most copies of a Switch game in it’s first week. It might not hold that title for long though as the new Smash game for the Switch is out next week and I have never seen a game with more organic hype than that. Even I am excited and I barely played the previous iteration of the game. Either way Pokémon is holding onto the top spot for now…
A Reddit user made a post on the /r/Pokemon sub-reddit about the potential for a release of another Pokémon game. The user posted this:

It seems to me that this is a fairly well hidden reference to the ideal release date for the next big Pokémon game. 2021 is only 2 years and 1 month away so it’s not like we will have to wait long for the next iteration of the game. That is of course if this is a reference to a future Pokémon game and not a throwback to the old games. This could be a reference to the fact that Gold and Silver take place 3 years after Red and Blue in the timeline of game releases. This doesn’t stop us from hoping though!
People have also been commenting on what Pokémon that they want to be the mascots for the next iteration of the Franchise. There have been tame suggestions such as Marill all the way to the ludicrous Shuckle.
