When Sony announced they were remastering Crash Bandicoot, fans of the series were eager for the nostalgia of the classic series. While details have been few and far between, recent revelations provide some insight into when we may see a release.
Over the last week multiple stores across the globe have added place holder release dates for the upcoming Crash Bandicoot’s PS4 remaster. While it’s not uncommon for stores to throw an estimated date, various stores have all hinted to a particular date.

As it stands, the leaks hint at the game releasing on February 28th. Initially, this date was highly doubtful as it shares the day with the much anticipated Horizon: Zero Dawn. While it is rare for games to release on the same date as others, it is also not completely unheard of. It still does add some doubt as to whether we will get to see it on this date.
Alongside the leak of a potential release date, Brazilian retailer Ziliongames also showed the potential box art.
As good as the new box art looks, it should be taken with a grain of salt. If this was the confirmed box art, it is likely it would have been seen already. What is more likely is that this is a fan made one, used as a placeholder for the game store.

Crash Bandicoot remastered was announced by Sony at E3. With Crash Bandicoot, the sequel and Warped coming, fans have plenty to look forward to. Originally created by Last of Us developers Naughty Dog, the remastered will be done by Vicarious Visions.
Previously, Vicarious Visions have developed multiple titles in the Skylanders franchise. It is no surprise either that they are handling the Crash Bandicoot remastering. In a cross promotion from Activision, Crash is an upcoming character in the new Skylanders: Imaginators.

Those excited to play some more Crash can get their hands on him in this Skylanders game this month.
