Bethesda’s ‘Fixed’ A Fallout 76 Glitch And It’s P*ssed Off A Lot Of People

Bethesda’s Fallout 76 has faced a lot of scandals since it launched, including bugs, review bombs, the “mis-selling” of special editions of the game and the leaking of customers’ personal details.

The company is working hard to fix its wrongs, but its latest bug-fix has left players even more upset than before.

A glitch for the in-game public event known as Feed The People has officially been fixed, meaning if you or anyone else on the server completes the event you’ll no longer get a can of stew. Previously, just being on the same server as players who completed the event meant you’d find a tasty can of stew in your inventory.

Although now identified as a bug, most players assumed it was just related to the event – it is called “Feed The People” after all…

However, being a bug, it’s now been removed thanks to Bethesda’s latest Fallout 76 patch. Now things are as they “should” be – only players who complete the event get the can of stew. Naturally people are pretty p*ssed off that they have to say goodbye to the random stew-drops in their inventories, and players want the mechanic brought back.

Over on Reddit, a user by the name of nulldesuka has penned an open letter to Bethesda, writing: “Dear Bethesda: Unfix the Feed The People event.

“Saw this while reading through the patch notes, that the event will now give just the players participating in the event the canned meat stew instead of everyone on the server.

“That isn’t feeding the people! In all honesty though I kinda liked the mechanic of giving everyone else an xp buff.”

Hopefully Bethesda will bring back the damn stew!
