Best Marvel TV Shows Ranked From Worst To Best

6. agent carter

Hayley Atwell is one of the MCU’s brightest additions as S.H.I.E.L.D operative Agent Peggy Carter. The titular show introduced a flavour of espionage into the MCU akin to The Winter Soldier, though it was lighter in tone. Atwell is terrific in her two seasons as the character, with other favourites such as Dominic Cooper’s Howard Stark making an appearance too. While the show’s viewership didn’t reflect its glowing reviews, there is still potential to explore new missions from Carter’s past.

However, it seems it may be put on hold as Atwell is rumoured to be part of a Captain Carter show for Disney+ in the future.

5. Loki

Tom Hiddleston’s turn as the God of Mischief has always been brilliant, but his transition to TV gave way to some of the MCU’s most thrilling moments yet. The concept of the Multiverse has opened the MCU to a realm of infinite possibilities and Loki’s time-tripping shenanigans were an instant smash hit with fans. Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse of Madness have further explored these ideas, but we’re eager to see Kang return in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.

4. ms. marvel

Fans of Ms. Marvel were treated to a great story with the youthful character in Square Enix’s Avengers game, but the Disney+ show is even better. Iman Vellani’s vibrant performance as Kamala Khan is a joy to watch, making the character’s MCU debut all the more memorable. Though some aspects of the character’s powers have been retrofitted for the MCU canon, Ms. Marvel is still faithful to the spirit of the hero.

Fans of Ms. Marvel can expect the character to return in The Marvels in 2023.

3. the defenders

Seeing Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist battle together was short-lived but we relished every second of it. The Defenders managed to redeem the lacklustre debut of Iron Fist, giving him time to shine in several battles and as a more captivating character alongside his fellow heroes. The story may falter in its final hours, but the setup for Matt Murdock’s future in the MCU makes The Defenders an essential watch.

2. the punisher

Following multiple adaptations of Frank Castle on the big screen, it was Jon Bernthal that managed to faithfully showcase the brutal vigilante. The masterminds of the MCU have always been cautious about tackling violence in their projects but thankfully, The Punisher is allowed to go off the chain. While its bone-breaking action is sure to make viewers shudder, Bernthal’s layered performance as Castle is nothing short of outstanding.

1. daredevil

Daredevil reshaped the MCU TV landscape. Proving that iconic heroes can be interesting in short-form content, Matt Murdock’s arrival in a post-Avengers world was a stroke of genius. Taking the fight from space to the streets, Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock is undoubtedly on the same level of acting brilliance as Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man. Daredevil has it all, from meticulously choreographed fights to enthralling storylines.

Marvel has recognised the character’s staying power too, as Cox reprised the role in Spider-Man: No Way Home and is set to return for a Disney+ show.
