Loki cemented himself as one of the Marvel franchise’ standout characters before meeting his grizzly end in Infinity War.
Sure, there were times where he was arguably the worst brother imaginable to Thor but the continuous glimpses into Loki’s positive side were enough to cement him as a good guy to most of us.
What if we told you those moments of evil weren’t actually Loki at all though?

It’s a theory that has floated around for quite some time, in fact, since the moment Loki first entered the Marvel universe through that wormhole in the first Avengers movie.
Obviously Loki’s main weapon is his sceptre, the one given to him by Thanos that we now know contained the mind stone, one of the infinity stones that Thanos had already acquired before sending Loki to conquer earth.
Well remember upon entering earth Loki looked pretty sickly? Marvel has now confirmed the rumour that Loki was in fact under control from the mind stone.
Now, fans on Reddit have noted that Marvel’s official character page for Loki has been modified. It isn’t exactly clear when the changes were made, but without any fanfare whatsoever, the theory that the Mind Stone corrupted Loki has been confirmed.
Have a read through the below, copied below from Marvel’s site:
“Arriving at the Sanctuary through a wormhole caused by the Bifrost, Loki met the Other, ruler of the ancient race of extraterrestrials the Chitauri, and Thanos. Offering the God of Mischief dominion over his brother’s favorite realm Earth, Thanos requested the Tesseract in return. Gifted with a Scepter that acted as a mind control device, Loki would be able to influence others. Unbeknownst to him, the Scepter was also influencing him, fueling his hatred over his brother Thor and the inhabitants of Earth.”
So is this Marvel essentially giving Loki a pass for all his questionable behaviour during his early appearances? Was Loki ever REALLY a villain after all?
2018 has been an insanely strong year for Marvel, with the likes of Black Panther and Infinity Warshattering box office records. Bringing it to a close with the Endgame trailer seems a pretty fitting way to see it out.
Talks of some kind of Deadpool / Avengers crossover have been around for some time. Not that anyone actually thinks it was ever going to happen, it’s more of a fantasy amongst Marvel fans.
Well thanks to YouTuber Mightyraccoon! we may have got the closest thing to a crossover as we’re ever going to get.
In a nutshell, it’s the same Endgame trailer that sent us all crazy, only this time every single character is Deadpool. Because, why not?
