Ubisoft has been celebrating its 30th anniversary by giving away free games to the PC players every month. They have now announced the final free game of this giveaway and it is a surprise.

American Revolution era game Assassin’s Creed 3 will be the last game of this giveaway and the players will be able to grab a free copy of the game from December 7.

Prior to this, Ubisoft have never given away a game from Assassin’s Creed, which is their biggest franchise ever created, for free. They however, have given some really good games like Splinter Cell, Beyond Good and Evil, and Far Cry for free in the past few months.

“Revealed at E3 2006, Assassin’s Creed puts the audience in the middle of an ancient war between two age-old factions: the Assassins, who fight to protect freedom and the Templars, who aspire to impose a New World Order,” Ubisoft said. “From Italian Renaissance to the Russian Revolution, the player meets real historical heroes, takes part in events and shapes its own destiny. From one episode to the other, the creative teams have constantly added new layers of interaction and new gameplay making each world deeper and more fascinating.”

Although Assassin’s Creed 3 is not the best Assassin’s Creed game ever, it is a bloody good game to get for free. The steps for getting it for free are also extremely simple really.

We’ve laid them out below.

The only thing you need to redeem the game for free is a Uplay account, which is a similar service to EA’s Origin. All you need to do is make a new Uplay account. You can make one here.
