Ubisoft revealed that the resolution for PlayStation 4 version of Watch Dogs will target 1080p but it’s unclear about the Xbox One resolution.
According to CVG, cinematic animation lead, Lars Bonde, says even though there might be visual performance differences between the PS4 and Xbox One, he made it clear that current-gen and next-gen will give players the same experience.
“I want to make clear is that, at its core, it’s the same experience on current-gen and next-gen consoles. You get the same gameplay out of it.”
However, Bonde acknowledges Watch Dogs on the PlayStation 4 will run in 1080p but he failed to mention the resolution for the Xbox One version.
“Of course there are nuances to it,” he added. “We are utilizing Xbox One to its full capabilities and the same with PS4, of course, so I know that, as far as to my knowledge, on PS4 it will run in full HD.”
Ubisoft previously said that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Watch Dogs will both run 30 frames per second but only today have announced the resolution for the PlayStation 4. Arab Gamer claimed Ubisoft had revealed the PlayStation 4 version of Watch Dogs will run 1080p/30fps, while Xbox One will run 960p/30fps.
Watch Dogs launches on May 27 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
