Sony’s PlayStation 4 console is selling tremendously! There’s no getting around it, if you’re looking for a PlayStation 4, then you may be on the waiting list for some areas. Within the UK, gamers are having a real tough time getting the PlayStation 4 as the console is selling out of stock immediately. Sony made mention on the supply shortage and it appears that gamers may be waiting awhile longer before they can get a unit.
Sony’s UK and Ireland’s boss, Fergal Gara, made mention through MCV that the supply shortage should come to an end for the UK by April. Though even Fergal is somewhat guessing as a definite answer is completely on the consumers.
“I can’t work it out precisely. But based on what I’ve seen so far, I think it is going to be tricky until around about April. You might get a fortnight or a week here or there where it is more available, but we should be back to free supply by about April. That’s our best guess. It might be a little earlier than that, or it might be a little later. But we’ll get there.”
Supply shortage is no stranger for PlayStation fans as getting the PS4 was a problem in just about every region is was launched. The console is having a hard time staying in stock in a number of different retailers. Already, Sony has announced that the PlayStation 4 has already sold over 5.3 million units since the consoles initial launch.
