This Guy Got The Coolest Pokémon Go Tattoo Yet

Pokemon Go’s influence on the public has been rather profound. Naturally, it wasn’t long before people got the inclination to adorn their body with pictures showing their love of the game and the Pokemon franchise in general.

A number of images of people getting tattoos based on Pokemon Go have been posted on the internet. Some are terrible, some are okay and others are even pretty cool. However, few of them match the sheer awesomness of the one owned by Adam Grandmaison.

In a YouTube video on the channel No Jumper, Adam (known as Adamtwentytwo on Facebook and Instagram) shows his trip to a tattoo parlour in Athens in order to get a tattoo that’s a little different. He begins the video explaining his incentive to get a Pokemon tattoo. His idea is based off of a meme he seen involving Charmander and a blunt, which is posted below.

Afterwards, Adam went to the parlour and told them about his design idea. Below, you can see his design and the resulting final product. It’s honestly kickass.

Cool right? It’s undoubtedly one of the best Pokemon tattoos out there. This isn’t mentioning the quality of the tattoo work itself. The colours and shading are very vivid and well done, and the line work is fantastic. Charmeleon looks exactly like the real thing (well, virtual thing, if we’re being technically accurate).

Adam has a whole host of tattoos across his body, and goes into detail about the reasons for and stories behind each one further in the video. Who knows, he may even get another one with a similarly fantastic design (maybe one detailing his struggles with getting a Magikarp to evolve).

As time progresses, we will undoubtedly see much more of the influence that Pokemon Go has on society. Already we’re seeing people walking a hell of a lot more, other people getting tattoos and it’s even helped children with autism break down some of the social difficulties they face.

It’s truly a phenomenon, and we’re all very excited to see what else Pokemon Go can inspire people to do.
