The Most Effective DMR 14 Tactical Rifle ‘Warzone’ Loadout

Following Raven Software’s May 7th balance patch, the weapons of Warzone are in better shape than ever. With the FFAR and Sykov thrones finally toppled, other weapon classes like Tactical Rifles and SMGs are coming up through the ranks.

With a large chunk of the arsenal now viable, there’s never been a better time to get experimental with your loadouts. Let’s take a look at a popular DMR 14 Warzone loadout that will leave your opponents weak at the knees.

Primary Weapon – DMR 14

The DMR 14 is starting to prove it’s worth more and more players taking it as their weapon of choice. Who can blame them? With the right set of attachments, this tap-firing machine is capable of rinsing through health pools at medium ranges.

Here’re the ones I’d recommend to make the most of this tactical rifle:

  • Muzzle –  Agency Silencer [Level 46]
  • Barrel 20.8” Task Force [Level 48]
  • Optic – Royal and Kross 4x [Level 12]
  • Underbarrel – Field Agency Foregrip [Level 41]
  • Ammunition – Salvo 40 Rnd Fast Mag [Level 51]

I say this with every Warzone loadout and I’m not about to stop banging the drum. A suppressor is an essential choice for an outing in Verdansk ‘84. This time, we’re going with the Agency Silencer. With this choice, we’re getting the noise suppression effect with the added bonus of improved recoil control, a boost to our effective damage range, and a huge buff to our bullet velocity. It’s a 30% increase to bullet speed, to be exact – no small sweat for medium-range engagements.

The rest of the attachments serve to make the recoil more manageable. The Field Agent Foregrip does wonders for keeping the kickback under control at longer ranges. To see enemies at those long distances, you can choose any of the scopes with higher degrees of magnification. We’ve decided to go for the Royal and Kross 4x as it provides a good balance between medium and long-range visibility.

Secondary Weapon – Bullfrog

To pair alongside the DMR 14, I’m mixing it up from my usual pick of the PPSH-41 SMG. The Bullfrog has proven itself as a seriously competitive primary since the start of Season 3. Surviving the balance pass that dethroned the previous heavy hitters, the Bullfrog remains a sturdy accessory to a longer range weapon.

Here’s how you should kit it out to maximise effectiveness:

  • Muzzle – GRU Suppressor [Level 46]
  • Barrel 7.4” Task Force [Level 48]
  • Laser – GRU 5mw Laser Sight [Level 31]
  • Underbarrel – Spetsnaz Grip [Level 41]
  • Ammunition – VDV 85 Rnd Fast Mag [Level 51]

With this configuration, we’re all about maximising damage output while remaining mobile. The Bullfrog is for those moments when the DMR 14 warzone loadout just won’t cut the mustard. That’s mostly going to be in close quarters situations, but it can also hold its own at medium distances.

That said, the Bullfrog is mostly here as an accessory to the DMR 14. It’s your emergency weapon for when the zone inevitably pushes you into uncomfortable scenarios.

Perks and Equipment

The rest of this loadout is a standard affair for those familiar with the current Warzone meta. Here’s a list of everything you should be equipping:

  • Perk 1 – Double Time
  • Perk 2 – Overkill
  • Perk 3 – Amped
  • Lethal – Semtex
  • Tactical – Heartbeat Sensor

Double Time doubles the duration of your tactical sprint. It’s especially useful in Warzone for when you get jumped by an unsuspected attacker. A quick double-tap of the sprint button and you can be back behind cover in no time.

Overkill is required for this loadout to work – that’s if you want to take the easy option and acquire both weapons at once. Alternatively, you could set up two loadouts, one with the DMR 14 and the other with the Bullfrog. You’ll just need to survive long enough or obtain enough cash to call in a second loadout drop. In that case, you’d be able to choose another useful perk, like Ghost – that’ll leave you undetectable by enemy UAVs.

With two primary weapons equipped, you’re going to want to take Amped. You’ll thank me later when the faster weapon swap saves your life. The reduced reload time on all weapons is a useful bonus, too.

As always, the lethal equipment is up to personal preference. Both the C4 and Semtex are powerful options, but I usually opt for the Semtex. I usually find it much more satisfying to use in comparison to the C4, which has a small learning curve with manual detonation.

A Heartbeat Sensor is a must for any Warzone class. You’ll get far more use out of knowing enemy positions than you will by fumbling to flash an incoming tango.
