Sony showed off a montage of some video game titles that would be compatible for the upcoming PlayStation 4 Pro during the PlayStation Meeting held last week and it was impressive.
The original PlayStation 4 games would also need an enhancement patch from the respective developers of the games to use PlayStation 4 Pro’s power and ability to the fullest.
One of the initial games that has been confirmed for the PlayStation Pro is The Last of Us Remastered. The game is set to receive an enhancement patch which will allow it to run at native 4K on the upcoming console.

A video which describes about the details of The Last of Us Remastered coming to PlayStation 4 Pro was posted by Digital Foundry. The video also describes that the demo of The Last of Us Remastered which was shown during the PlayStation Meeting wasn’t running at native 4K.
However, when they spoke to the developer of the game, they mentioned that they will add a 4K mode for the PlayStation 4 Pro version of the game.
“The PS4 version has that 30Hz mode which has higher-resolution shadow maps but otherwise it’s just a locked 30fps. Now that mode on the PS4 Pro, well you keep the enhanced shadow map detail but you also get native 4K. So we have actually got a confirmed case of full native 4K game that will be available for PS4 Pro at launch, which will be The Last of Us Remastered.”
