The Call of Duty: Vanguard Open Beta Kicks Off This Weekend

Players eager to try out the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta can do so this weekend, as the beta is available across all platforms.

Call of Duty: Vanguard has entered its second weekend of beta, which launched with the PlayStation early access last week. The Vanguard beta marks the return of the Modern Warfare style of gameplay, and the first proper offering of multiplayer.

With a variety of modes to choose from, Call of Duty fans have a lot to sift through with the beta over the weekend.

A LOT OF CONTENT IN THE VANGUARD BETA

Sadly for Xbox and PC players, the part of the beta currently running is still in early access. This means if players on either platform want to play, they’ll need to pre-order the game. PlayStation however, is launching its open beta, meaning all players can join in. Unless you are eager to put in some time on Vanguard, there is no need to pre-order it. The open beta will launch on Saturday (18th) at 6PM and run until Monday (20th) and finish at the same time.

Expanding upon the Champion Hill alpha, this beta gives players a proper taste of multiplayer in Vanguard. With multiple maps and modes to try out, the beta is a solid experience. One mode players should definitely check out is Patrol. This is essentially Hardpoint on wheels, as you try to hold and protect a constantly moving circle. The beta also has a host of weapons to try out, from the STG44 to the M1 Bazooka.
