1. Red Dead Redemption – Entering Mexico/ Far Away
Apparently, Red Dead Redemption is something special. The internet is just about this close to losing its shit over the hugely anticipated (and not yet announced) sequel, and the game itself is still played by tonnes of people. It’s got a special place in my library, that’s for sure.
This could be down to the story, or the gameplay, or the music, or the characters, or… Well. You get the point.
But it’s not. It’s down to a combination of all of the above – because with Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar absolutely fucking nailed it. Of all the praiseworthy moments in the game (there are quite a few), none stand out quite as much as when you enter Mexico for the first time – when you take your first steps into a massive new area, accompanied by Jose Gonzales’ Far Away.
