Sony has announced Derek Yu’s treasure hunting platforming roguelike Spelunky is coming to the PS3 and PS Vita next week on August 27th for North America. It’s only been announced for North America so far, but the rest of the world can surely hope for a worldwide release at some point.
Spelunky will cost $14.99 to non PlayStation Plus members, while members will get a 20% discount through the launch week and will only be $11.99 for them. The game is also Cross-buy so getting it for either PS3 or PS Vita will give you access to it on the other platform.
Spelunky is the second of four games that are apart of Sony’s PS Vita Summer Select. The other games, Divekick, KickBeat and Dragon Fantasy: Book II will release one a week and all offer the same promotion for PlayStation Plus members.
