Originally Sony was not going to bring the new 12 GB SKU PlayStation 3 to North America amid criticism of it’s small flash-based memory as well as its less than stellar construction. Thankfully the PS3 supports upgraded internal HDDs or external storage via USB.
It has been available in Europe since October of last year and now is available from retailers in the United States and Canada. We found it being sold at BestBuy in the U.S. and FutureShop in Canada.
The “Super Slim” PS3 model standalone costs $200. There is also a bundle option that comes with The Last of Us and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception for $260.
