Sony Rejects EA Access

Sony has recently announced that it passed on EA Access; a service by EA that cost $30 a year for access to discounts, free games, and pre-order bonuses. A spokesperson from Sony stated that the main reason was that it did not provide good enough value to compared to PlayStation Plus.

The statement reads.

“We evaluated the EA Access subscription offering and decided that it does not bring the kind of value PlayStation customers have come to expect”

PlayStation Now will be launching soon, and that along with PS Plus, were the reasons that EA Access was rejected. Although, it does seem that the best “value” for the consumer would have been the choice to subscribe to this program or not, but Sony felt that was not, so EA Access is only on the Xbox One.
