Sony recently chimed in on Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us coming for the PlayStation 4. Turns out that Sony loves The Last of Us so much that they believe it would be a shame for some gamers to never have played the title on the PlayStation 4.
SCEE product manager Josh Walker spoke to MCV about why Sony is bringing The Last of Us to the PlayStation 4.
The Last of Us is considered one of the most significant titles of the last console generation, winning countless awards. It would be almost unfair for all our new fans to never play a game like this. We’ve looked at PSN data and can see a huge proportion of PS4 players haven’t experienced The Last of Us yet. This is quite indicative of the shift in the market and the many players who have migrated from competitive platforms that we’re glad to welcome to PlayStation.
So we have to ask you. If you’ve played The Last of Us on the PlayStation 3, do you plan on picking up the Remastered edition the PlayStation 4. For those who have yet to play the game, are you interested in picking up the title on the PlayStation 4 for the first time?
