Sony – Expect “Many cool things” at Gamescom

Sony stole the show at E3 when they announced their PS4 at the press conference, winning the hearts of many gamers. They have been very informative on their upcoming console, but we have a very good feeling that they are hiding the best news for last.

Sony is attending Gamescom next month, which is pretty much Europe’s E3 and is the world’s largest game event.

Executive VP/COO of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Jim Ryan recently mentioned that there will be more game announcements, and the PS4 will launch in Europe before Christmas time.

Ryan states, “There’s a lot coming. I’m sure you heard from Shu [Yoshida] that he has 30 games in development. 20 of them are going to ship within the first year of the console’s life, and of those 12 are new IP.

“There’s a lot going on, we need to keep stuff back. We’ve got Gamescom for us Europeans–we need to have something to show at Gamescom, don’t we?”

Tony Clark, another European PlayStation Employee has also tweeted:

We hope to see a lot more games at the upcoming event.
