The creative group behind the OpenIV mod for GTA V have been working on a Liberty City mod for a while now, and they’ve just released the first screenshots from it. They. Are. Incredible. Check them out:

The mod doesn’t have a scheduled release yet (and is still in alpha) but based on the screenshots, it’s going to be nothing short of amazing. When you add the mod, the recreation of Liberty city will be floating somewhere in the ocean, accessible by either sea or air (although with a little creativity I’m sure someone will find a way to drive there). The OpenIV team has promised that the mod will be an accurate representation of the Liberty City we know and love. This mod coupled with the massive update schedule Rockstar has planned for us should keep us playing GTA V for some time to come.
