Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg Directing Console Wars Feature Film

Ever wonder how the console wars ever start, for some it may be a complete mystery. While others may remember vividly the spark of the gaming industry years ago. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg hopes to capture on film the story of how the video game world became a $60 billion dollar industry. The source of this material happens to come from Blake Harris’s book, Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo and the Battle that Defined a Generation, set to be released on May 13, 2014.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are no strangers of putting together featured films as the duo previously worked on Superbad, Pineapple Express, and This Is The End, the three just so happens to be comedic films so needless to say, it will be interesting how the two take on the film.

As for the book itself, the story goes over 200 hundred interviews within the game industry including former Sega and Nintendo employees. Ultimately, the story will guide the readers into understanding how the industry really kicked off and became a giant media force just as the likes of  film and music.
