As you can see, if you gain more levels, The XP requirements keep increasing and you need to work a lot harder to progress or gain levels. A sharp increase can be noticed after you hit level 20 as you need almost double the XP to gain another level.
However, the rewards too keep getting better as you gain levels and there it works both ways.
