Sony has released their list of free games for PlayStation Plus users for yet another month. As always, PlayStation 4 owners get their hands on the best games of the list. August is no exception, as Sony is offering Just Cause 3 and Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry for the console users. Those that own PlayStation 3 will enjoy the indie games Super Motherload and Snakeball whereas Downwell and Level 22 will be given for free to PlayStation Vita users.

PlayStation 4
Just Cause 3
Just Cause 3 is an open world action-adventure game. You get to play as Rico, a mercenary who tries his best to liberate his hometown of Medici that has fallen under the control of a military dictatorship led by General Sebastiano Di Ravello. The world size is 400 square miles (1,000 km2) which means that it is fairly similar to its predecessor, Just Cause 2. The game includes a vast variety of weapons and vehicles to choose from.
Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry
If you have played Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag you will be quite familiar with this game. You get to play as Adewale, an Assassin who’s goal is to liberate the slaves throughout the Carribean. The game is a standalone title of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag in which Adewale was a close friend of Edward Kenway, the protagonist of the game.
PlayStation 3
Super Motherload
The game is set on Mars during the Cold-War. The main character works for Solarus Corporation, an inter-planetary mining operation but later discovers that things aren’t quite as they seem. Up to 4 players can join the procedurally-generated world that changes every time.
Snakeball
Snakeball is a disco-graphic style game which has adopted many features from classic Snake game that was released in the 70s. There are lots of variations of gameplay although the main goal is to throw balls in a hole at the center of the stage. The players can choose between 16 different characters and up to 8 players can join the game.
PlayStation Vita
Downwell
Downwell is a game centered around a person who decides to explore the well of his local park. In his journey, he comes across many monsters and discovers secret treasures.
Level 22
Gary who is an office worker who overslept and got late for work. Because that’s not the first time he has done that he needs to find a way to get to his office without anyone noticing that he was missing. Gary’s goal is to reach the 22nd floor in which his office is located will hiding in every possible location during his path to the top.
