Tamagotchis were one of the greatest toys of the 90s, and they’ve seen a big of a resurgence recently as more and more people search for a hit of that oh-so-sweet 90s nostalgia.
But, Tamagotchis have finally gotten the upgrade they deserve, with the announcement of an upcoming Eeevee Tamagotchi that’s officially licensed by Pokémon. Hooray!

The sad news is the cute AF actual pocket monsters are going to be available in Japan only. But maybe if we ask really, really nicely…?
Bandai, the company behind Tamagotchis, has revealed that it’s not just the casing and the pixelated critter that make this Eevee so special – you’ll actually be able to evolve your Eeevee into one of its many forms: Jolteon, Vaporeon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon or Sylveon.
According to Serebii, you could even end up with Eevee dressed as Team Rocket, or a Ditto Eevee!

If you’re able to get your hands on one, these Tamagotchis will be available in Japan in January 2019.

Eevee is definitely enjoying some time in the spotlight thanks to the recently-released Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee for the Nintendo Switch.
