Ninja will be Streaming Fortnite from Times Square on New Years Eve

Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins will be hosting a 12 hour long Fortnite livestream in Times Square to celebrate the new year. Ninja is one of the top streamers of this year and has both helped and been helped by the explosion of Fortnite.

He will be streaming for a 12 hour stretch starting at 4pm EST until 4am EST. This is 8pm GMT until 8am GMT. It will be available to watch on Ninja’s Twitch channel. It also may be available to watch on one of the screen in Time Square – however that is not confirmed.

Ninja had this to say about the stream:

“When I started in gaming, I never thought that something like this would be possible. NYE has always been fun for gamers because it’s a night where you have a widely accepted excuse to stay up and game, but there’s never been an event in the mainstream that’s actually built around that tradition,”

“This is just my ultimate NYE Fortnite LAN party with some of my best friends and a few surprises that I hope we as a community can have a lot of fun with.”

Ninja has gained over 11 million followers for this Twitch channel as well as millions of subscribers on his YouTube channel. Ninja has been streaming and making YouTube videos for years but many people only know him from his Fortnite play.

This may be a strange idea for people to watch during New Years Eve but remember many of Ninjas viewers are young teens so will not be going out on New Years Eve. This means he could receive a large amount of viewers over the stream. I don’t think it will quite reach the levels of his stream with Drake but it could be another record breaker.

Will you be watching Ninja playing Fortnite on New Years Eve or do you have other plans to ring in the new year?
