James Bond Game – Dream Project for Director of Telltale

Kevin Bruner, Director and co-founder of Telltale revealed that he would love to tell a tale of James Bond through a game.

In an interview with OXM, when asked what he’d like to work on Bruner replied, “I’m a giant James Bond fan and I’m always frustrated by games that make him a mass murderer.”

Bruner pointed out, “He’s a super-spy, and that’s a different skill set. The films make him less of a mass murderer, and there’s not much killing in the books – more spying and intrigue.”

When asked whether there is a possibility of a new IP altogether, CEO of Telltale Dan Connors replied, “I think we’re looking more at can we engage some great storytelling mind to come in and work with us on something and make it not just a game franchise, but a full-on entertainment franchise with comics or a TV show and such and build it all together at once? We really see that as the next thing that’s gonna happen.”

The idea of a James Bond game by Telltale seems interesting. Also it has been a while since Mr. Bond had a blockbuster game considering his last outing in 007 Legends had a poor response.

We hope someone at MGM and Activision is reading this indirect proposal by Telltale which is in a good position with The Wolf Among Us, The Walking Dead Season 2, Tales From the Borderlands, and Game of Thrones.
