A listing for the official Hogwarts Legacy art book has been spotted online, and it could point towards a potential release date for the game.
As spotted by The Rowling Library, Insight Editions is set to publish ‘The Art and Making of Hogwarts Legacy’ later this year. It’s written by Jody Revenson who has also authored several other Harry Potter related books.
Hogwarts Legacy is currently without a concrete release date. Though it was initially intended to release in 2021, it was pushed back to 2022. There are rumours that it could still slip back to 2023, but Warner Bros is adamant that it will still release this year.
This new magical entry from Avalanche Studios lets players create their own student at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Set over 100 years before the events of Harry Potter, it will tell its own unique story – separate from the books.
When will Hogwarts Legacy art book release?
It was thought that Hogwarts Legacy might release alongside the upcoming Fantastic Beasts movie. However, the film is scheduled for April – a little too close of a deadline for Avalanche to meet.
Now, it’s suspected that Hogwarts Legacy might be aiming for a September launch date. ‘The Art and Making of Hogwarts Legacy’ currently has a publication date of September 6th. It’s reasonable to assume that the game is expected to release around that same time.
A September launch window makes sense thematically for Harry Potter. It’s when all of the schools in the UK return to teaching, as does Hogwarts in the world of Harry Potter. Of course, the Hogwarts Legacy art book could also have its publication date moved, but it’s currently a relatively reliable indicator.
