GT Academy is the project by Kazunori Yamauchi which gives an opportunity to players of Gran Turismo across the globe, to become professional race car drivers and now it is coming for the first time to the world’s largest democratic country – India.
A formal announcement will be done at a press meeting in Delhi on February 4th – just a day before the inception of India’s Auto Expo 2014.
India is the 8th distinct region being charted by the very successful GT Academy program along with Western Europe, Germany, Central Europe, Russia, North America, South Africa and the Middle East.
Gran Turismo 6 was released in India on 6th Dec 2013, the same as worldwide with strong publicity. India has a good amount of Gran Turismo fans and this will be a golden opportunity for some of them who also aspire to get into the racing industry.
MCV India has confirmed that they received a press invite (pic below) from Sony for the press meeting in collaboration with Nissan.
