Ubisoft has revealed that their upcoming Far Cry 4 video game will have the same size map as the previous Far Cry 3. The reason being is that developers are looking to make a dense living world instead of relying on a bigger map size.
Ubisoft’s Far Cry 4 video game director Alex Hutchinson recently told of the map size during the latest podcast from Game Informer. The reason that the developers are looking to create a more living, breathing world rather than giving players a bigger map to explore.
With focus on making the game filled with different NPCs and events, players shouldn’t be upset with having around the same size map to explore. Other details that were revealed about Far Cry 4 are Karma Events. During these events, players will have the chance to perform missions that will either help the population or hurt them.
Far Cry 4 will also have multiplayer in forms of split-screen co-op or head-to-head game modes. Currently, Far Cry 4 is set to release on November 18, 2014 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
