DICE has added a new ‘Low Poly’ weapon charm to Battlefield 2042, and it seemingly pokes fun at the game’s extensive launch issues.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Battlefield 2042 isn’t all that popular. Following some awful launch and a vastly delayed live service program, the player count of DICE’s latest shooter is falling off rapidly.
For now, DICE is keeping players happy with a slow trickle of new cosmetic items. These adorn weapons, vehicles and soldiers, seemingly distracting players from the buggy mess surrounding them. Now, however, a cosmetic item seems to serve as a reminder of Battlefield 2042’s woes.
Called the ‘Low-Poly’ Charm, the new cosmetic item is available to unlock via a weekly mission. It’s a small keyring object that can hang from any weapon you like. It’s a blocky shaped object that’s made from a few different polygonal shapes. This seemingly serves as a reminder of the unintentional low-poly models that once plagued Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield V.
Battlefield 2042 – How To Unlock The Low Poly Charm
To unlock the Low Poly Charm, you’ll need to complete the new weekly mission. Here are the objectives:
- Revive 15 teammates
- Get 50 kills and assists with LMGs or marksman rifles
- Capture or neutralise 10 objectives
All in all, it shouldn’t take you too long to unlock the Low Poly Charm. Most of the objectives can be completed by simply playing a match of Battlefield 2042. That is, if you can bear playing a match of Battlefield 2042.
