YouTube Removes Advert For ‘The Nun’ As It’s ‘Too Terrifying’

Believe it or not an advert has been taken down by YouTube after complaints from the public that it was ‘too scary’.

Don’t believe us? Turn up your volume and watch this…

I imagine that would scare the living sh*t out of you if you were just watching an innocent cat video and that came out of nowhere.

“WARNING! If you see an ad on youtube with the volume sign being turned down and nothing else, it’s a jump scare for the new Nun movie coming out,” one person tweeted. “I advise you look away and/or turn down the volume if you have anxiety or just straight up hate jump scares.”

YouTube’s stance on videos is that “promotions containing violent language, gruesome or disgusting imagery, or graphic images or accounts of physical trauma,” and “promotions that are likely to shock or scare” are prohibited.

However, according to the Mirror, this normally refers to real footage rather than adverts.

But it looks like they’ve made an exception as the advert is no longer being shown on YouTube.

If the advert has worked and made you want to watch it, The Nun movie comes out this September.
